More World War I Resources to Explore

There is a lot of interest in World War I and its veterans and resources with the onset of WWI’s 100th Anniversary this year. One of the web sites and its links pertaining to WWI resources that we found particularly interesting is from the Genealogy Insider blog by Diane Haddad and the Family Tree Magazine staff. She lists six records that you can search to learn more about your WWI ancestor. Check it out at: http://blog.familytreemagazine.com/insider/2017/04/05/6RecordsToTraceAncestorsWhoServedInWorldWarI.aspx

And don’t forget all of the activities going on this year, especially the Memorial Day event honoring those Carroll County military killed-in-action during WWI. It will be held at the Carroll County Veteran’s Memorial Park on May 27, 2017. Guest speaker will be David Shuey (History Teller Productions) appearing as General John J. Pershing.
