Special Collections Library
The Special Collections Library is located in Neva Lomason. Carrollton, GA. Vistors will find an array of research materials in the Special Collections Room. Through annual contributions and acquisitions, the collection has grown to be one of the finest in this area.
The collection of over 2,250 books includes all of the published Carroll County materials, family histories, newspaper abstracts, reference guides, military records, and much more. These materials are shelved within topical groups such as, state/county, military materials, family histories, city directories, phone books ethnic cultures, tax digests, and yearbooks.
The microfilm collection includes some Carroll County deed and probate records, Georgia census records, some local church records, local newspapers, and some issues of Atlanta Journal Constitution. File cabinets contain historical maps, unpublished family histories, and vertical files on a variety of topics. Finding aids in Special Collections include:
