The Special Collections Room at the Neva Lomason Library was originally the home for all resource materials belonging to the Carroll County Genealogical Society. During the recent remodeling of the library, those materials were moved off campus but are now back home in the Neva Lomason Library’s new History Room, which is located near the circulation desk. Here you will find microfilm, Carroll County records, tax digests, yearbooks, family, church and community histories as well as materials covering other counties and states.
The Carroll County Genealogical Society would like to thank the public for your patience during this process and we look forward to welcoming you to our new home. Due to the library remodeling phase and the Covid virus outbreak, Carroll County Genealogical Society volunteers were not able to assist patrons during this time period.
If you need assistance from a volunteer, please send an email request to [email protected] to see if a volunteer might be available for your visit. A volunteer will be available during the month of February 2024 on the first Wednesday (February 7th) from 9:30am – 12:00pm, and on the third Wednesday (February 21st) from 1:00pm – 3:30pm.
